Sara Myers, MA, LMFT, MFC92230

Sara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience providing therapy to individuals and couples throughout the state of California. Her services are provided face-to-face at her office in Los Angeles’ Hermosa Beach, via video, or over the phone. Sara’s main areas of focus are trauma, relationship difficulties and relational health, depression, anxiety, stress, and addiction recovery.

Sara completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, San Marcos with a degree in Psychology. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University as well as specialized training in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and strength-based treatment modalities. She has also completed state-certified crisis intervention training for issues of sexual assault and domestic violence.

With over twelve years of crisis and community based counseling experience in several social service and private practice settings throughout Southern California, Sara has had the opportunity to work with children/adolescents, adults, and couples from a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Through her work, she has been able to easily connect with clients of all ages and develop a therapeutic approach that elicits a comfortable and safe environment.

With a calm, direct and empathetic style, Sara helps her clients break down the issues they are struggling with, identify unique strengths and resiliencies, and achieve personalized and manageable goals. She utilizes a nonjudgmental, multi-dimensional approach to assist her clients in becoming more empowered, self-aware, and perhaps most importantly, fulfilled with life and their relationships in it. Sara conducts individualized and eclectic therapy, pulling from cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and solution-focused approaches.
